Features: Pig production holds a very important position in animal husbandry. In recent years, China's pig production has made significant development and progress, with rapid improvements in pig production levels. Currently, China's meat production accounts for a leading position in the world, and pork production accounts for about 50% of the global output. The development of agriculture and the improvement of residents' consumption levels, but it should also be noted that there is still a large gap between China's pig production and developed countries. The gap in production efficiency restricts the improvement of economic benefits in pig production. In the face of this issue, future pig production must continue to adapt to market demand, rely on technological progress, leverage resource advantages, continuously adjust production structures, increase appropriate-scale breeding, improve slaughter rates, increase carcass weight, increase meat output, expand processing, and strive to improve the comprehensive benefits of pig production. To promote the development of the pig industry, based on the current needs of pig production in China, we have compiled the book "New Techniques in Rural Pig Production." During the compilation process, we referred to the works of experts and professors from domestic and international fields, providing introductions to pig breeding, nutrition, feed, feeding management, and disease prevention, which serve as references for technicians and producers engaged in pig production.
