II. Basic Safety Operation Knowledge
1. When erecting formwork, follow the work procedures. Do not leave or engage in other work until the formwork is secured.
2. The top supports of formwork must be vertical, with a level and firm base, and padded with wood.
3. Tools such as nails and hammers should be placed in tool bags and not scattered around.
4. For column formwork over 3 meters high, diagonal braces should be installed around the perimeter, and an operating platform must be set up. For heights below 3 meters, use scaffolding for operation. When erecting cantilever formwork, ensure stable footholds are provided.
5. When erecting formwork for open-sided structures, scaffolding or ladders should be set up. If there are precast openings in the formwork, cover them after installation. After dismantling, protect any resulting edges or openings.
6. For independent beam formwork, a temporary work platform must be set up. Do not operate from column formwork or walk on beam bottom templates.
7. When erecting or dismantling formwork for exterior walls, side columns, eaves, or ring beams, ensure reliable footholds, set up guardrails, and hang safety nets. Workers at edges must wear safety harnesses and must not overreach while operating.
8. When using frame supports for formwork, cross braces must be installed on both the inner and outer sides of the frames and locked securely with the locking pins on the frame uprights. Connection rods and locking arms must be used to assemble upper and lower frames. Mismatched frames and accessories must not be mixed.
9. Formwork supports must not be connected to unreliable or temporary items such as doors and windows. Column heads, connections, upright supports, and tie rods must be securely installed as a whole before workers leave.
10. Strictly prohibit climbing on connection pieces and supports. Strictly prohibit assembling or dismantling formwork on the same vertical plane.
11. Dismantling formwork must only be carried out after concrete strength meets requirements and with the approval of the project technical supervisor. Operations must be performed in sequence and in sections.
12. When dismantling formwork, do not use forceful prying, hard hammering, or large-scale pulling down. Prevent injury and damage to materials.
13. The uprights of the bottom frame must be equipped with fixed or adjustable bases, with adjustable screw extensions not exceeding 200 mm. All frame supports for formwork must have longitudinal and transverse horizontal bracing.
14. When dismantling, ensure no suspended formwork remains to prevent sudden falls and injury.
