The chronicle primarily records the ruins of the Qin and Han Ganshuin Palace and various related historical relics and artifacts, while also including some documents and anecdotes about the palace, as well as accounts of several relevant historical figures. The upper limit is the Warring States period when the predecessor of Ganshuin Palace, Lin Guang Palace, was initially established, and the lower limit is the late Western Han Dynasty, with some parts extending to the late Northern Dynasties when the palace was still in use. In the chronicle, historical eras and place names are generally used, with the Common Era and modern names provided in parentheses when necessary. The entire book uses unified colloquial style and simplified characters, with some easily ambiguous or specifically meaningful characters retained in traditional form.
