Features: This concert band collection is tailor-made for rural bands. I have visited some counties and rural areas, where the wind instrument players often complain about not being able to find suitable music for them. They say that most of the wind band scores sold in bookstores are in treble clef, and they are filled with many instruments we have never seen before, making it difficult for us to understand. There are also different keys, and we are like blind men! They also gave me suggestions: the year before, you published a concert band collection in treble clef, and we selected some pieces from it to practice. But most of them were for large bands, and we only have about eight or nine people in total. In these scores, which parts should we keep and which can be omitted? We couldn’t figure it out. They also said that in the small county and towns where we live, transportation is inconvenient. We don’t have the conditions to hire teachers in the city and have to teach ourselves. Whenever there are holidays or weddings, funerals, or other events, we are always needed to play. But there are too few scores for these occasions. We have also practiced by following tapes, but it just doesn’t feel right. If only we could get some scores like this, that would be great. We have also practiced by following tapes, but it just doesn’t feel right. If only we could get some scores like this, that would be great. In this booklet, each score is divided into three parts: high, middle-low, and low. The high voice part is primarily for trumpets, while other instruments such as flutes, clarinets (also known as saxophones), and high saxophones also belong to this part. It is further divided into two parts: Part I and Part II. If there is only one trumpet, or only one trumpet and one clarinet, Part II can be omitted. The middle-low voice part is divided into three parts. Part I is the melody part for the middle-low voice, often played by instruments such as the alto horn or alto saxophone. Part II is a filling part, which can also be omitted if there are few players. Part III is mainly for trombones. If there are two alto trombones, they can play Parts II and III separately. Part III sometimes also supports the low voice part. If the band has a tuba, the bass trombone can also play the middle-low Part III. If there is no bass tuba, then the bass trombone will have to play the low voice part. If there is an alto trombone, it can also play the low voice part. For the percussion section, if there are not enough players, one person can play the cymbals and the bass drum. If your band has a drum set, then all percussion can be played on the drum set.
