Features: This book is a collaborative academic research achievement. It is both a monograph with relatively consistent ideas, a well-structured and closely interconnected framework, and also effectively reflects the research characteristics and academic styles of the authors. The 17 contributors, who come from universities, research institutions, and central practical work departments, not only have a deep understanding and research of the issues covered in the book but also most of them are experts and scholars in international and United Nations affairs, dedicating significant effort to the research. Except for a few chapters that involve the Cold War period, the book primarily focuses on the actual state of Sino-US relations within the framework of the United Nations after the Cold War, with most of the materials used dating up to 2006. The book is divided into five parts. Individually, it outlines a macroscopic picture of cooperation and differences, consensus and disagreements, struggles and compromises between the central US in the United Nations framework. It also attempts to make a modest contribution to seeking common ground while respecting differences and advancing constructive partnerships between the two countries in multilateral fields such as the United Nations.
