Features: The Bible is a unique book in the history of humanity. It was written by different people in different eras and languages, yet it is remarkably cohesive. Despite facing countless doubts and even denunciations, its position as a seminal classic has remained unshaken. It is not merely a literary, philosophical, or historical book, but rather the source of many literary works, constantly cited and discussed by philosophers. Its detailed accounts of ancient Jewish history also far surpass those of other ancient peoples. The Bible is a great legacy of humanity. However, the solemnity of the original Bible often intimidates readers. Through Langdon Cox's accessible and engaging writing style, it is transformed into a concise and summarized "Bible Story," not only preserving the spirit of the original but also allowing readers to easily enter the world of the Bible. While narrating these ancient tales with a simple, wise, and tolerant voice, Cox also unfolds the vast historical behind the Bible stories. Such a vast and mysterious Bible, yet Cox makes this book understandable even to the common people. The Story of the Bible is truly a work that surpasses the original Bible. The concise and elegant English and the faithful and fluent Chinese translation, coupled with illustrations drawn by Cox himself, will bring you endless joy in reading.
