Features: With the continuous deepening of the reform in China's engineering cost management, as well as the development of the professional qualification system for cost engineers and cost engineering consulting firms, and the requirement to align China's cost management with international standards after joining the WTO, the National Cost Engineer Qualification Examination Training Textbook Compilation Committee organized the writing of this training textbook according to the "National Cost Engineer Qualification Examination Syllabus" revised by the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Personnel in 2003. This textbook is intended for use in the National Cost Engineer Qualification Examination from 2003 onwards. The newly revised examination training textbook is divided into "Basic Theory and Related Regulations of Cost Engineering Management," "Cost Engineering Estimation and Control," "Construction Project Technology and Measurement" (one volume for civil engineering and one for installation engineering), and "Cost Engineering Case Analysis."
Based on the "National Cost Engineer Qualification Examination Syllabus" formulated by the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Personnel in 2003, the National Cost Engineer Qualification Examination Training Textbook Compilation Committee revised the existing training textbook, resulting in the 2006 edition of the examination training textbook. This revision involved some and adjustments to the original content, updated the cost engineering management regulations and policies, and added examples of certain cost engineering estimation methods. The newly revised National Cost Engineer Qualification Examination Training Textbook (2006 edition) remains divided into "Basic Theory and Related Regulations of Cost Engineering Management," "Cost Engineering Estimation and Control," "Construction Project Technology and Measurement" (one volume for civil engineering and one for installation engineering), and "Cost Engineering Case Analysis."
This book is divided into five chapters, introducing the general theory of cost engineering management; relevant theories, methods, costs, and project proposals in engineering economics; the basic theory and methods of engineering finance, as well as taxes and insurance regulations related to engineering finance; the basic theory and application of project management; and related economic laws and regulations. This book can serve as a supplementary training textbook for readers preparing for the National Cost Engineer Qualification Examination.
