Features: Green Field Network was established in Beijing in 1998 as China's first website dedicated to self-guided outdoor activities. Green Field currently has over 100,000 members, and in 2005, more than 100,000 people participated in group activities organized through the website. Green Field is one of China's most renowned self-guided outdoor activity websites. Since its inception, Green Field Network has been committed to promoting natural, eco-friendly, and healthy outdoor activities in China, such as mountaineering, rock climbing, ice climbing, trekking, camping, cycling, skiing, and off-road driving. Green Field advocates independence and mutual assistance, encouraging people to master their own equipment and skills, plan travel routes and schedules independently, participate in activities in groups, share costs, and jointly bear risks and responsibilities. Green Field also does not oppose purchasing commercial services to improve athletic skills and expand activity capabilities. On the Green Field website, users can freely post activity plans, recruit or join outdoor activities. After an activity is completed, the organizer writes a detailed cost report, and users publish numerous guides, travel diaries, photos, and discussions about equipment and techniques, guiding more and more enthusiasts to engage in outdoor activities.
The book China Outdoor Travel was jointly discussed, planned, and reviewed by China Travel Press, the China Outdoor Travel writing team, and Green Field Network, ultimately compiling 20 of the most popular outdoor activities in China. Through this book, readers can obtain basic athletic techniques and rich information about activity routes. We hope that the publication of this book will further promote outdoor activities in China. The book covers the entire country, including all the popular and lesser-known outdoor activities discovered in recent years, encompassing all the highlights, big and small.
