Features: How can third-party logistics providers effectively integrate social resources to provide logistical technical support for the implementation of integrated supply chain management by supply chain leading enterprises? This is both an urgent issue that China's logistics industry needs to address at present and an inevitable trend in the deepening theoretical research of third-party logistics. Based on revealing the essential characteristics of third-party logistics and third-party logistics providers, this book focuses on the implementation process of third-party logistics subcontracting contracts. Using various theories and methods such as empirical analysis, principal-agent theory, team theory, mixed integer programming, stochastic programming, and bi-level programming, it conducts research on the selection of third-party logistics subcontractors, the signing of subcontracting contracts, the execution and control of subcontracting contracts, and the establishment of trust mechanisms during subcontracting. Among these, it places particular emphasis on the study of the contractual relationship between the two parties to the transaction, especially the hierarchical principal-agent contractual relationship between third-party logistics providers and subcontractors. It analyzes the impact of the behavioral motivations of both parties on contractual decisions and the performance of third-party logistics services, explores how to control subcontractor behavior, allocate risks borne by both parties to the transaction, and optimize third-party logistics services through the design of third-party logistics service subcontracting contracts, and proposes some typical models of third-party logistics service subcontracting contracts. The research in this book not only provides a theoretical foundation and practical tools for third-party logistics providers to manage logistics service subcontracting contracts but also, from a side perspective, advances the study of supply chain enterprise cooperation limited to the principal-agent level between contract parties to a level that combines principal-agent theory with the overall performance-optimization decision-making of contracts.
