Itching around the vaginal opening, feels a bit swollen—is it vaginitis?

Patient's question:

Medical Description: Since August 3rd, there has been itching around the vaginal opening, accompanied by a slightly swollen feeling, which has persisted until today. The vaginal discharge is white and pasty. Previously, I had intermittent episodes of candidal vaginitis.
History of Treatment and Effect: My last menstrual period was on May 27th. On July 8th, it was confirmed that I had an ectopic pregnancy, and I was hospitalized for conservative treatment. I was discharged on August 2nd. Upon admission, my blood HCG level was 1800, and upon discharge, it was 4.5. A week after discharge, a follow-up blood HCG test showed a level of 1, with the mass disappearing.
Help Needed: I would like to ask the doctor if this is vaginitis and how it should be treated.

Doctor's answer:

Your condition is considered to be a symptom of candidiasis. It is recommended to use baking soda to inhibit the reproduction of Candida. In the evening, use baking soda to rinse the vagina, then insert a special medication containing 5 units of nystatin into the vagina. Apply nystatin powder mixed with cold cream to the external genital area. The treatment duration is 10 days, and you should conduct three consecutive tests of vaginal discharge. If there are no Candida in the discharge, it indicates that the treatment is complete. Additionally, it is recommended to use baking soda to inhibit the reproduction of Candida.
