How long does it take to test with a pregnancy test kit?

Patient's question:

Symptom Description: Menstruation delayed by 4 or 5 days, no appetite, nausea, no previous treatment and its effectiveness: No treatment has been received. Desired Help: Test with a pregnancy test strip for how many minutes.

Doctor's answer:

Generally, a 40-day menstrual delay (around 35 days for the earliest cases) allows for the detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in pregnant women' serum or urine, assisting in early pregnancy diagnosis. Use the midstream portion of morning urine (the first urine passed after waking up) for testing. This ensures higher accuracy.
Hold the test strip with the arrow-marked end immersed in the urine container, but do not let it go past the marked line (the first black line after the arrow). Remove it after about three seconds and lay it flat. Observe the results within five minutes—results observed after 15 minutes are invalid.
Negative: Only the control line (the top red line) appears, indicating no pregnancy.
Positive: Both the control line and the test line (the red line below the control line) appear with clear coloration, indicating pregnancy.
Weak Negative: The test line is lighter than the control line, suggesting possible pregnancy. Retest with morning urine the next day.
Strong Positive: The test line is darker than the control line, indicating pregnancy has been ongoing for some time.
