Patient's question:
Description of the condition:1. I saw a question in the hot issues section: Is there a better way to terminate pregnancy within 7 days of conception? Does it mean that after 7 days of intercourse, I can use David's early pregnancy test to check for pregnancy?
2. Is it possible to have a medication abortion within 30 days of pregnancy? If it exceeds 30 days, do I need to use other methods?
3. I have a history of hyperthyroidism (now recovered). Does medication abortion or miscarriage have any impact on future fertility?
Doctor's answer:
The most common sign of pregnancy is a missed period. If your menstrual cycle is usually regular and you have had sexual intercourse without using contraception, you should suspect pregnancy if your period is delayed by 10 days. If your menstrual cycle is irregular, you should also look for other signs. Women of childbearing age who have regular menstrual cycles should consider pregnancy if they experience a missed period. After a missed period, symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, sleepiness, chills, loss of appetite, varying degrees of nausea, food cravings (e.g., a preference for sour foods or aversion to greasy and strong odors), changes in appetite and preferences (e.g., suddenly not wanting to eat foods you usually enjoy while craving things you normally dislike), and even vomiting may occur. Severe cases may also include breast tenderness, darkening and tingling of the nipples and areolas, as well as frequent urination. These symptoms generally indicate pregnancy.
