Mr. Liu was an outstanding expert in printing and currency printing in the 20th century, serving as the national chief engineer, dedicating his entire life to the field of art printing and currency printing. He spent over a decade in his spare time studying the principles of writing Kai Shu efficiently and quickly, based on the calligraphy theories of Chinese calligraphers, and summarized and published the standard practice books for the Ou, Yan, and Liu styles, as well as the structural practice book for Liu Kai Shu. After the "Cultural Revolution," his eldest daughter, Liu Lun, inherited her father's wish to continue compiling standard practice books for other calligraphic styles. Since their public release in 1962, these practice books have accumulated millions of copies in circulation and remain consistently popular among calligraphy enthusiasts and learners to this day.
