Criminal Law General Part I - Crime Theory - (5th Edition of 2004)

Author: (German) Günter Stratenwerth
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2006-02-01
Features: This book was originally written by Günter Stratenwerth and published in its first edition in 1971. Günter Stratenwerth was a student of Hans Welzel, the founder of "Teleological Behaviorism." For many years, Professor Stratenwerth taught criminal law and legal philosophy at the University of Basel, Switzerland, while maintaining a close connection with German criminal law, as this textbook demonstrates. After the fourth edition was published in 2000, the continuation of the book's writing was taken over by another author. Lothar Kuhlen completed his habilitation thesis at the University of Frankfurt in 1985 and has been engaged in legal education at the University of Mannheim ever since. The fifth edition, translated into Chinese, was co-authored by the two authors. This textbook is primarily aimed at students but is also suitable for professional peers. Of course, we hope it will introduce current rules of criminal law required for national legal examinations to students majoring in law.
