Features: Sustainable economic development requires a comprehensive evaluation of the comprehensive economic strength of various regions. This book starts from the definition of comprehensive economic strength, drawing on the content of indicators for comprehensive national strength, competitiveness, and sustainable development evaluation systems. Guided by development economics theory, it establishes an evaluation index system for regional comprehensive economic strength. Based on the analysis of the composition method of comprehensive index weights, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used to establish the weights of the comprehensive index. Finally, an evaluation index for comprehensive economic strength is established. This book includes the following content: 1. Proposes the meaning of comprehensive economic strength, arguing that it should not be static but a dynamic process. 2. Proposes the principles for establishing a multi-indicator evaluation system, which is to start from the evaluation purpose and establish the indicator system guided by relevant theories. 3. Explores the formation mechanism of comprehensive index weights, studying the relationship between weights and characteristic roots and eigenvectors; concludes that the Analytic Hierarchy Process is an ideal method for weight assignment. 4. Utilizes publicly released statistical data from the National Bureau of Statistics to calculate the comprehensive economic strength evaluation index for 30 provinces and cities in China. 5. Proposes ideas and methods for evaluating the evaluation methods.
