Features: This book studies the selection patterns of international technology transfer methods and the spatial patterns of transfer spillover effects from a nonlinear perspective, and analyzes the revised model of economic growth equilibrium including elements such as innovation, technology transfer, and diffusion. It is expected that the long-term trend of changes in the technological and economic gap between countries is uncertain. Chapter 1 employs qualitative and quantitative methods to describe and measure the characteristics of international technology transfer, which serves as an important practical foundation for the research in this book. Chapter 2 establishes a multiple solution model of technology transfer method selection centered on the theory of asset ownership. This model provides a unified analytical framework for explaining the choice of technology transfer methods (export, FDI, and licensing) between developed and developing countries. Chapter 3 analyzes the diffusion spillover effects of international technology transfer on host countries. Using the "field" concept from physics, it conducts spatial analysis of technology diffusion, revealing the intrinsic nature and patterns of technology diffusion determined by three forces: potential difference, comparative advantage gravity, and demand gravity. Chapter 4 incorporates both the host country and the home country into the analytical framework to study the two-country model of technological innovation and imitation. Chapter 5 analyzes the impact of international technology transfer on the development trend of global economic growth. Chapter 6 conducts an empirical analysis on a time-series cross-sectional sample of nearly 30 countries, including both developing and developed countries, based on the analysis in Chapter 5. Chapter 7 proposes four policy recommendations for China's technology introduction and innovation strategies, combining theoretical and empirical analysis conclusions.
