Features: During the process of economic and social transformation, our moral construction faces significant challenges. There are unhealthy and uncivilized phenomena in real-life society. Some individuals are confused in their thinking, lacking in morality, and unable to distinguish right from wrong, good from evil, and beauty from ugliness. The rise and spread of materialism, hedonism, and extreme individualism have impacted the social moral system, damaged social atmosphere, and affected the healthy development of the economy. Educating young students to firmly establish the socialist concept of honor and shame, consciously cultivating good moral qualities such as "loving the motherland, serving the people, upholding science, working diligently, fostering unity and mutual assistance, being honest and trustworthy, abiding by the law, and striving hard," and striving to cultivate qualified new builders of socialist construction in the new era, is the mission and responsibility of educators. For this purpose, we have compiled the "Student Reader on Socialist Honor and Shame Education."
Based on the content of the "Eight Honors and Eight Shames," this book is divided into 16 topics, using typical cases and exemplary figures to demonstrate and reinforce the socialist concept of honor and shame. It also draws on daily life examples among students that are common and easy to practice, providing simple yet profound moral guidance to help students firmly establish the socialist concept of honor and shame. At the beginning of each topic, there is an interpretation that explains the specific meaning of the "Eight Honors and Eight Shames." Within the examples, there are reflection questions to guide students in making correct judgments about right and wrong. At the end of each topic, there are various activity forms such as discussions, storytelling, and social surveys, making it convenient for teachers and students to use.
