How to handle a 11-month-old baby with a fever of 38.5?

Patient's question:

Boy baby, how many months old, recently has been having a fever, the kind where it comes down and then comes back up again, on and off, eats dinner normally, but cries non-stop. What should I do if my 11-month-old baby has a fever of 38.5?

Doctor's answer:

Can integrate physical cooling, it's best to check a blood test. Fever can be recurrent, if it's below 38.5, you should take some fever-reducing medicine. Recurrent fever is a characteristic, it won't worsen. Just suppress it in time.
Can integrate physical cooling, can use fever patches, can take a warm bath, all are physical cooling. Symptomatic drugs, just fine, have a fever-reducing effect, not needed for the time being.
The patient should develop good daily habits, maintain a regular schedule, avoid smoking and drinking, and increase daily exercise to enhance immunity and prevent recurrence of the condition.
