Patient's question:
Is it green because it's infected? Past treatment and effectiveness: Applied Dianping, what kind of assistance is needed: How to treat, what medicine to apply or what medicine to take...Doctor's answer:
Vaginitis is primarily characterized by an increase in vaginal discharge, which is often purulent and has an odor. The vagina may feel burning, itchy, or heavy, and may be accompanied by pelvic discomfort and general fatigue. During gynecological examinations, the vaginal mucosa may appear red, congested, swollen, and tender, with continuous discharge that becomes purulent and even forms crusts. A careful examination of the discharge smear can reveal a large number of pus cells and identify the causative pathogen, but the discharge will never contain trichomonas or fungi.Treatment:
1. Metronidazole (Flagyl) usage: 0.2-0.4g per dose, taken 2-3 times daily, for 7 days. It can also be administered intravenously.
2. Amoxicillin usage: 0.5g per dose, taken three times daily. It can also be dissolved in 6g per day and administered as two intravenous infusions.
Local treatment:
1. Frequent cleaning to maintain local hygiene.
2. Periodic use of 3% boric acid or dilute acetic acid to rinse the vagina, followed by rinsing with clean water, can alleviate symptoms.
3. Using erythromycin solution for rinsing may also be effective.
4. Using "Jie'eryin" or "Fu Yin Jie" for vaginal rinsing.
