Features: The Selected Ensemble Pieces for Chinese Folk Orchestras includes outstanding works for folk orchestras by renowned composers from China and abroad. These pieces are among the most popular selections performed by professional and amateur folk orchestras in recent years. Although various reasons prevented the collection from including even more excellent works, the pieces in the collection still largely reflect the creative achievements of folk orchestra compositions in recent years. The publication of ensemble pieces for folk music in such a concentrated, series-based, and multi-author format is a first in several years. The purpose of attempting this is to promote the development and research of folk ensemble pieces and folk orchestra compositions. The publication of this collection has been warmly supported by numerous composers from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and overseas, and we express our sincere gratitude to them. This collection, published in five-line notation, features diverse genres, rich content, varying techniques, and a range of difficulty levels, including pieces suitable for professional folk orchestras as well as those for amateur orchestras in primary, secondary, and university settings. The Selected Ensemble Pieces for Chinese Folk Orchestras is divided into five volumes, with six to seven pieces per volume, totaling thirty-three pieces. We sincerely hope experts and readers will provide valuable feedback.
