To enable a broader audience, including scholars, to gain a true and detailed understanding of the Eight Eccentrics, the Shanghai People's Publishing House, in collaboration with the "Research Society of the Eight Eccentrics of Qing Dynasty Yangzhou," has, after years of planning, launched a series of social science popular reading books titled "Biographies of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou." Due to the lack of materials in the past, it was extremely difficult to create biographies of the "Eight Eccentrics." However, with the deepening of research on the Eight Eccentrics, many new materials have been discovered, and several publishers have successively released reference books and collections of paintings and calligraphy on the Eight Eccentrics, making it possible to create their biographies. The publication of "Biographies of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou" has, to some extent, filled this gap in the field.
