Features: On December 1, 1891, Dr. James Naismith, an American, hung two broken peach baskets in the gymnasium of the Springfield YMCA Training School, hoping to create an indoor sport suitable for winter. He wanted to use this to help athletes develop a healthy physique and agile movements, not just strength training. At that time, basketball looked very ridiculous—the baskets were old, wicker peach baskets, and the basketball was actually a soccer ball. As for the rules, there were none to speak of. Dr. Naismith never imagined that his simple idea would become a globally popular game that has nurtured countless super athletes. If NBA history can be interpreted as legends, then the NBA Hall of Fame is the monument to these legends. The Basketball Hall of Fame, full name Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, is a three-story building located near U.S. Highway 91, covering an area of 54,000 square feet. In 1968, it moved from Springfield College in Massachusetts. The building displays basketball artifacts, historical materials, video archives from different eras, three movie screening rooms, and a basketball court for visitors to try their skills. Over 200,000 people visit here every year. Being inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame is a great honor for someone who participates in the sport. Although it is just a title, it means recognition and respect from the basketball world, and its status and importance are equivalent to the Lifetime Achievement Award in the film industry, the "Academy Awards." The book introduces the history of the NBA.
