Features: As the research report of the People's Bank of China Business Management Department was published in 2005, after reading these reports, I deeply felt the profound changes in all aspects of the Business Management Department's work. These research reports not only cover a wide range and numerous topics but also provide in-depth analysis of the trends and issues in the economic and financial operation from the perspective of the central bank, as well as propose many valuable suggestions for the construction and improvement of the socialist market economy. As the branch of the People's Bank of China in Beijing, the Business Management Department has conscientiously implemented the requirements of the Party Committee of the People's Bank of China, with strong support from the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. Guided by the Important Thought of "Three Represents" and the Scientific Outlook on Development, it closely combines with the actual development of the local economy, diligently fulfills its responsibilities as the central bank, and strives to promote the healthy development of the capital's economy and finance. Over the past year, the Business Management Department has vigorously promoted research and investigation, focusing on macroeconomic conditions, the implementation effects of monetary policy, the operation of financial markets, foreign exchange management, financial services, and other aspects. By breaking through the service function of research outcomes for decision-making, it has carried out a large number of research activities. Building on existing achievements, the research work has shown new progress. First, the combination of theory and practice has become closer, and the role of research in serving decision-making and promoting work has become more prominent. Second, research methods have more extensively adopted advanced research and analytical tools from domestic and international sources, greatly improving the standardization and rigor of research outcomes, further enhancing the scientific nature of decision-making. In 2005, 4 research reports received important comments from the State Council leadership, 14 from the leadership of the People's Bank of China and the Administration of Taxation, and 9 from the Beijing Municipal leadership. Some research findings have also been published in core academic journals such as Economic Research, Financial Research, Statistical Research, and International Financial Research.
