Features: Tracing the long river of history, in the depths of time, there exists a spiritual sanctuary filled with faith. The people there, though their faces are blurred, are relentlessly polished by time until they become clear; their steps, once stumbling, are ever more steadfastly guided by dreams; their words, simple yet profound, are passed down through generations, resounding with impact. Over the years, their figures may have dimmed due to neglect, but they have never vanished. Those voices echoing in dreams are precisely their melodious words. The vast Chinese nation, with its profound culture, has carved out a common name for them: Heroes! In the five thousand years of Chinese history, how many heroic and moving figures have emerged from the land of China! In times of national prosperity and peace, they shed blood and made sacrifices. To resist foreign aggression and defend dignity, they acted resolutely, sacrificing themselves without hesitation. "Sincerity is bravery, and martial prowess follows; Strong and unyielding, they cannot be subdued; Though their bodies perish, their spirits remain; Resolute in death, they become the heroes of the dead." They are truly the heroes of our nation, the heroes who uphold the spiritual legacy of our people. Heroes embody the enduring memory of the nation, support its upright spirit, and set an honorable example for it. The spirit of heroes is where the essence of Chinese culture lies, the lifeline of the nation, and the fundamental belief that enables the descendants of Yan and Huang to continue to thrive. China is an ancient civilization that reveres heroes, and also a modern strong nation that promotes the spirit of heroes. Heroes carry hope and expectation, inspiring us to carry forward our legacy as the Chinese nation rises in peace. Today, as traditional values are diluted and an increasing number of foreign products replace domestic ones, when superheroes like Spider-Man, Saint Seiya, and Detective Conan have become the idols of children, how much space do our heroes still have to survive? Ten years to grow trees, a hundred years to nurture people. Understanding and accepting our heroes requires long-term effort. The beginning of this effort lies with the youth, who are like the rising sun. Starting with dreams, pursuing the traces of heroes, and empathizing with their emotions—perhaps this is the simplest way for the youth to honor heroes. We choose the form of comics, which is favored by the youth, to remember our heroes, and we select outstanding comic artists from all over the country to portray our heroes. In the face of the invasion of foreign comic heroes, let our national heroes live vividly in the hearts of the youth, radiating the charm of history and national culture with dynamic portrayals, and facing the challenges of giants with a modern appearance. Comic Chinese Heroes will be an ideal cultural medium for the youth to read, as well as a spiritual feast and visual spectacle prepared for them. For this reason, we create Comic Chinese Heroes.
