Publishing Date: 2005-08-01
Features: To adapt to the reform and development of higher medical education in China and to cultivate more and better advanced clinical medical talents for the 21st century, the National Higher Medical Education Material Construction Research Association has separated Laboratory Diagnostics from "Diagnostics" and listed it as an independent textbook. This edition of "Laboratory Diagnostics" focuses on cultivating students' innovative thinking and practical abilities, based on the training objectives of long-term education. Building on the five-year program's "Diagnostics," it has been significantly enriched and deepened. It reflects the principles of "Three Basics" (basic theory, basic knowledge, basic skills), "Five Qualities" (ideological, scientific, advanced, inspirational, applicable), and "Three Specifics" (specific target, specific requirements, specific limitations), while highlighting the spirit of "updating, deepening, and refining." In terms of content, it not only includes inheritable clinical material but also significantly enriches modern advanced content, particularly emphasizing the implementation of "optimal combination application of experiments" and "individualized treatment under experimental monitoring" under the principles of evidence-based experimental medicine, to introduce novel and advanced knowledge and techniques into the teaching system of laboratory diagnostics. In terms of professional foreign language teaching, the tables and figures in the book are compiled in English, accompanied by English technical terms, to provide students with more professional foreign language knowledge. In terms of interdisciplinary connections, the book particularly emphasizes the links between theory and experiment, as well as between experiment and clinical practice, to cultivate students' practical and innovative abilities. At the same time, we have fully noted the need to leave space for students to self-study and think, recommending references to cultivate their thinking and self-learning abilities.
