The story of "Ferrari Formula" dates back to the early 1990s. At that time, Ferrari had already changed dramatically. Luca di Montezemolo, who had already become Enzo Ferrari's trusted assistant in the 1970s, took over the company and team in 1990 and launched a revitalization plan. In this process, he built a "dream team" and ruled the Formula One world with absolute authority. In 1993, Montezemolo hired Jean Todt, a calm and meticulous Frenchman, who was also a rally co-driver and the owner of "Peugeot Sport." The next cornerstone was laid in 1996 with the arrival of world champion Michael Schumacher. Schumacher had already won the world drivers' championship twice, but he knew that true glory could only come from success with Ferrari. With Ross Brawn and Rory Byrne joining the technical team of Paul Martinelli, this dream team finally took shape. Together with Girolamo Simon, they laid the foundation for this unstoppable team of engineers, which is a crucial factor for any successful Formula One team today.
By 1997, Ferrari once again challenged for two championship titles, but success slipped away from them at the last race. This failure was repeated the following year. However, in 1999, they won the team's annual championship title, marking the first time they broke the record of five consecutive championships (from 1999 to 2003, the Ferrari team won the team's annual championship title for five consecutive years). Twelve months later, on October 12, at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan, Schumacher brought back the drivers' championship title for Ferrari, finally giving them the championship they had longed for for 22 years.
Since then, the Ferrari team, which grew up in the small town near Modena, has claimed all the honors. In the book "Ferrari Formula Racing," 140 specially authorized images vividly record the passion, emotion, and secrets behind the realization of these dreams.
