Features: Project organization is a temporary structure where the project owner allocates resources to achieve its development goals. Except for the smallest projects, the project owner generally does not have sufficient resources, so it is necessary to obtain resources from the outside. Therefore, the project contract becomes an essential component of project management, serving as the means for the project owner to introduce resources and create the project. This book introduces project contract management. It implies a theme that will be discussed in Chapter 3: in creating a project, the owner should ensure that all resources actively serve the project goals. To achieve this, the owner should create an atmosphere that promotes cooperation within the project organization while aligning the contractor's goals with the owner's goals. They should not create a conflicting organization with differing contractor objectives. Unfortunately, project owners often choose the latter under the guidance of misconceptions. They believe that a conflicting organization will lead to better results, but in reality, they create a "lose-lose" outcome. This book was co-authored by several authors, so there may be some minor overlaps between chapters. The authors may present different perspectives on the same topic, but we do not have any conflicts with each other. Such differing views on a topic can broaden our understanding of it.
