How to deal with lochia issues

Patient's question:

Hello, after two weeks postpartum, my lochia stopped, but it reappeared after 20 days. Is this normal? Is it related to cervical erosion? What should I do? Thank you.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, you can appropriately choose from the following methods:
Method 1
30 grams of Doli grass, 10 eggs, and 30 grams of brown sugar. First, boil the Doli grass (if unavailable, use 30 grams of Codonopsis and 60 grams of Astragalus instead) to make a decoction, then remove the solids. Use the filtrate, brown sugar, and eggs to cook until the eggs are done. Eat 2–3 eggs daily, and you can make more after finishing.
This method is suitable for postpartum qi deficiency leading to incomplete lochia.
Method 2
10 grams of ginseng, 1 cleaned black-bone chicken, and a small amount of salt. Soak the ginseng in water, slice it, and place it inside the chicken. Put the chicken in a clay pot, add salt, and steam until the chicken is tender. Eat the meat and drink the broth, 2–3 times a day.
This method is suitable for postpartum qi deficiency leading to incomplete lochia.
Method 3
100 grams of lotus root juice and 20 grams of sugar. First, squeeze fresh, tender white lotus root to extract the juice, then refrigerate it. Mix the sugar into the lotus root juice and drink it cold.
This method is suitable for postpartum lochia due to blood heat.
Method 4
30 grams of agrimony and 30 grams of motherwort each, and 10 grams of brown sugar. First, decoct the two herbs, remove the solids, and take the filtrate. Add brown sugar to the filtrate, boil for 1–2 boils, and then take it. 2–3 times daily.
This method can be used for postpartum lochia due to blood stasis.
Method 5
60 grams of nettle (whole plant) and 60 grams of motherwort. Wash both, add water, decoct into a soup, remove the solids, and decoct again until thick. Take it.
This method is suitable for postpartum lochia due to blood stasis.
