Features: The term "after the 1970s" refers to a special writing group composed of young people who emerged in China's literary scene in the mid-to-late 1990s. The reasons for this generation's enthusiasm for writing are not merely their age, but primarily because they were earlier than previous generations in recognizing the value of their own life experiences and reflections, and most found cultural and even intellectual kindred within the framework of self-identity. Although, overall, their expressions have yet to form a systematic style, and their works are still insufficient in quantity, the history of this generation's growth and inner lives, as written by them, has already been documented. In fact, in the years following the emergence of this writing group, the writing wave they created has rapidly spread, inspiring more young people to participate. Through their works, we discover that the latent desire and talent for writing in this generation are far stronger than people imagine. This is also one of the reasons why we need to study this generation well.
