Features: To continuously introduce the latest research achievements of our institution's discipline of Ancient Chinese Literature to the academic community and enhance the academic accumulation of Ancient Chinese Literature research, we have decided to select outstanding works by faculty members in the field of literature and theoretical research on ancient literature, and compile this series of Su Pu Xin Ji Series. The term "Xin Ji" carries two layers of meaning: First, it draws inspiration from the phrase "accumulate firewood" and "the latercomers surpass the predecessors" in the Records of the Grand Historian (Shiji), Volume 124, "Biographies of Ji and Zheng," hoping that our research achievements can continuously improve academic standards and value. Second, it takes its cue from the Zhuangzi, Section "Nourishing Life," where it says, "The pointer reaches the end of the firewood, but the fire is passed on." Teachers are the "firewood," and academia is the "fire." When the "firewood" is exhausted, the "fire" is passed on. Our physical lives are inevitably doomed to perish, but our spiritual lives can aspire to achieve immortality through the dissemination of academic works. With this aspiration, we hope that our colleagues in this discipline can infuse their "Su Pu spirit" into this series, making it truly a cumulative representation of our spiritual lives! Regarding the value of this book in the study of religious history, literary history, and textual research, many scholars have already discussed it. Professor Koda Ichiro of Nanjing University in Japan once wrote an article detailing the significance of the rediscovery of this book in the study of religious history.
