Features: To compile this list, the European Science Foundation's Standing Committee for the Humanities conducted multiple academic discussions to explore the characteristics of the humanities and invested significant human and material resources to conduct a bibliographical analysis of linguistic journals published in different languages worldwide, which lasted for two years. The specific workflow was as follows: Three representative linguistic journals and book series in the international linguistic field were selected as the basis for citation rate reference. Journals cited by two or more of the above journals more than 10 times during the period of 1990-1999 were included in the list. A total of 85 linguistic journals from various languages around the world were included in this list.
