Features: How should one manage their university years? Recently, a motivational book titled How to Manage Your University Years was co-authored by 12 university students from Wuhan. This book, named How to Manage Your University Years, depicts the journey of 10 university students as they face spiritual emptiness, employment pressure, and societal temptations, gradually growing through trials and breakthroughs. "Books by the '80s generation, represented by Han Han and Guo Jingming, reflect a 'painful youth,' expressing that our generation is materially prosperous but spiritually empty," said Ma Haoran, the book's editor and a student from the Fine Arts program at Wuhan Normal University (Class of 2002). To change this perception, he decided to "do something" as graduation approached. In June 2005, he and Chen Ping, a student from the Business School at Wuhan University (Class of 2001), "clicked" and decided to gather a group of representative university students to compile a motivational book.
Chen Ping stated that the purpose of publishing the book was to tell people, "Our generation of university students is not one of confusion and decadence, but one full of ideals and creativity." The 10 university students closely integrated their personal interests, majors, and the needs of the era with their ideals, transforming from ordinary to extraordinary and setting an example for contemporary students on how to overcome confusion, identify their goals, and prepare for the competitive society ahead. The book provides a reference for every university student, a sense of life's value for every high school student, and a glimpse of their child's bright future for every parent!
