Features: Laparoscopic surgery has undergone rapid development in a very short time since its inception, with numerous related books published, such as those on laparoscopic techniques, equipment, surgical indications and countermeasures, as well as laparoscopic surgical procedures. However, there is currently a lack of an anatomical book that meets the requirements of laparoscopic surgery and is specifically targeted at laparoscopic surgeons. This book consistently introduces anatomical relationships from the perspective of laparoscopy and three-dimensional space, breaking through traditional anatomical thinking. It focuses on modern laparoscopic surgery, elaborating on the local anatomical characteristics of surrounding organs. The upper right quadrant of the abdomen is primarily dedicated to the biliary system, the upper left quadrant is centered on the spleen, the upper middle abdomen discusses the stomach, the lower middle abdomen emphasizes the colon, and the pelvic region focuses on gynecological organs. The retroperitoneum and inguinal region are separately devoted to the urinary system and hernia pathology. Considering the repetition of content across different chapters, the same anatomical relationships are explained from various perspectives, ultimately harmonizing to form a cohesive whole. Each chapter introduces embryology, anatomy, and variations, followed by the selection of one or more surgical cases to illustrate the anatomical relationships, with a particular emphasis on widely performed procedures such as biliary, inguinal, and gastric surgeries (laparoscopic surgeries for the spleen, colon, uterus, and urinary system are less accepted). By familiarizing themselves with normal anatomy and its variations through surgical examples, surgeons can ensure safe and effective operations. Throughout the entire surgical process, from trocar insertion to removal from the abdominal cavity, the anatomical variations and complexities are emphasized. The open surgical field is limited and narrow due to the influence of instruments such as hands and retractors, whereas laparoscopic surgery offers a broader range of operation, a clearer and magnified view, and more pronounced advantages. This book introduces the special requirements of laparoscopic surgery, emphasizing the principles of laparoscopic operation, and elaborates on the placement of trocars, the positions of the surgical team, the patient's position, and the orientation of the camera, among other issues. The safe use and coordinated coordination of laparoscopic instruments play a crucial role in the successful completion of every surgical case. Laparoscopic instruments and equipment are constantly evolving, and while visual equipment technology, inflation, electrocautery devices, and special surgical instruments are not the main focus of this book, the names of instruments are avoided using overly specialized terminology. To align with the key content, this book primarily describes traditional resection methods and does not involve complex or potentially hazardous laser techniques. Although new equipment and technology, such as ultrasonic knives and three-dimensional television, have improved the efficiency of surgical procedures, the demand for anatomical knowledge remains unchanged. Given the abundance of anatomical reference books and surgical case reports, it is difficult to list the specific sources of every cited article in each chapter. Only when the proportion of literature references is high or when a particular article is the sole report of a certain source is its specific citation provided. The end of the book lists the main anatomical references consulted, with specific anatomical references provided for each chapter. Based on currently recognized surgical principles and proven surgical methods, this book determines the approach to laparoscopic surgery, avoiding approaches adopted based on personal preferences. The references for each surgical approach are listed one by one at the end of each chapter.
