The Lost World of the Red Star was published by the Shanghai Commercial Press in November 1907, listed as co-authored by British authors H.G. Wells and Andrew Lang, with translation by Zhou Chu of Wuxi. Zhou Zuoren directly translated the book from English, completing it in the spring of 1907.
