Chen Zheng's Hundred Poems

Features: Without hesitation, I have selected one hundred poems from over three hundred of my works, arranging them mostly in chronological order and paying attention to content coordination for easier reading. These poems primarily reflect the themes of emotion and truth. In terms of ideology and sentiment, they embody the interweaving contradictions of worldly engagement and detachment. Deeply influenced by Du Fu's poetry, they are largely written from the perspective of the people, occasionally containing some complaints and frustrations, but always expressing grievances without anger and sorrow without being hurtful. Poetry expresses the heart and soul. In these poems, they basically reflect personal ideological inclinations and essence, personal interests and genuine feelings, as well as personal traces and the joys, sorrows, anger, and happiness of life. I am deeply grateful to Professor Wang Yiqun for his encouragement, for writing the preface to this book, and for assisting with proofreading. I am also grateful to Professor Guo Tiemin for his help. I am particularly grateful to Director Lü Ping of Economic Science Press for her strong support, especially to Director Lü Ping and Comrade Zhou Xiuxia for personally serving as the book's editor, who have put in a great deal of hard work to avoid many errors and greatly enhance the quality of this book.
