Features: Today, when people face the Internet, the decoding of human genes, and the launch of manned spacecraft, they can't help but exclaim "knowledge explosion." At such a moment, you must yearn to unravel the mystery of the process of acquiring knowledge to achieve a true revolution in learning. When education finally breaks free from the confines of the (exam-oriented) model and returns to the direction of quality-oriented cultivation, while the traditional exam-oriented approach still exerts its (inertia), you must long for a force that imparts knowledge and conveys information, provides learning resources and guides learning methods, helps prepare for exams while fully developing intellectual potential. After all, the ultimate goal of exam-oriented education should be the enhancement of a person's potential. As the ancient saying goes, "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." Because giving a man a fish only addresses immediate needs, teaching him to fish addresses lifelong needs.
Beijing Wanyang Thinking International Education Technology Center, based in Beijing—the political and cultural heart of China—keeps pace with the times and looks ahead to future trends. While carefully studying the latest curricula, standards, and textbooks, it absorbs advanced educational concepts from both domestic and international sources. The aim is to enable readers not only to learn knowledge but also to master learning methods—to both get the fish and learn how to fish. Knowledge and ability go hand in hand are our principles.
To achieve the goal of improving students' overall quality, in line with the new curriculum standards and the new trends of quality-oriented education, we have specially invited experienced teachers and researchers from key primary schools and the frontline of teaching research to participate in the overall planning and question design of this series. They have conducted in-depth research on the new curriculum standards and textbooks, based on a brand-new approach and the actual needs of teaching in various regions. Adhering to the principle of progressing from easy to difficult, emphasizing fundamentals, highlighting key points, and distributing difficult points, they have scientifically and systematically divided the content into two parts for assessment: "Achieving Basic Knowledge Standards" and "Overcoming Key and Difficult Points." Additionally, we have provided students with "Wisdom Island," a second classroom for interest groups, to closely integrate textbooks with Olympic mathematics and give students broader thinking space.
At the same time, while editing this series, we emphasize the connection between knowledge and life. We test knowledge by solving real-life problems and help students master the ability to solve life problems through learning knowledge points. Based on the actual age characteristics of students, we focus not only on cultivating interest but also on fostering learning habits, thinking methods, and moral qualities. "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime."
