Features: This book comprehensively elaborates on Shanghai's process of building urban informatization, from macro strategies to specific plan determination, from industry planning to the implementation of individual cases. It particularly introduces the development and construction of government informatization, which is closely related to the lives of the people, as well as sectors such as transportation and finance. The book reflects the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Government in urban informatization construction, providing a relatively comprehensive overview of the development of urban informatization in Shanghai. Accelerating the informatization of urban construction and management, adopting technologies such as remote sensing, global positioning systems, and geographic information, comprehensively improves urban management and service levels. Key construction efforts focus on the three-dimensional urban geographic information platform and information systems for urban planning, municipal construction, comprehensive pipelines, urban transportation, real estate resources, ecological and environmental protection, disaster prevention and resilience, population management, and social security. Through informatization development, the government further refines the open-government policy, actively explores and implements new measures to benefit the public, places administrative enforcement actions under social supervision, enhances the transparency of government operations, and effectively safeguards the public's right to know.
