Features: To help young people improve their literary and artistic literacy, especially to assist literary and artistic enthusiasts in applying to art schools, the author wrote this book, "Literary and Art Common Knowledge." Regarding the positioning of this book, I would like to clarify a few points: , it is different from "Key Points of Literary and Art Common Knowledge." The directory-style, outline-based format is too simplistic and leaves the reader unsatisfied. I hope this book has a certain scope, a relatively rich knowledge base, and a substantial amount of information to serve students applying to different art majors. Second, it is different from reference books like "Encyclopedia of Literature and Art" or "Dictionary of Literature and Art." It cannot be as comprehensive or lengthy—perhaps this is its advantage. Its guiding principle is to prioritize breadth over completeness and precision over detail. It is merely a "simple handbook" for literary and art common knowledge, like "compressed biscuits," to help you grasp more useful knowledge in the shortest time. Third, it is also different from theoretical works. It does not have strong academic rigor. It is aimed at readers with a medium-level education, seeking practicality rather than depth. It largely avoids controversial topics, and the information provided is only "touching upon" the subject. Fourth, it is even different from exam preparation books like "Review Materials," "Application Guides," or "Admission Bulletins." Those books have a limitation: they are only applicable to a specific year and a specific school. I hope this book has a longer shelf life and a broader audience. It can not only provide pre-exam guidance for candidates in the current year but also serve as a textbook for secondary schools to offer courses on artistic literacy or conduct extracurricular activities. Broadly speaking, it can also be used by other literary and artistic enthusiasts for reference and by general readers for consultation.
