Features: The Treatise on the Categories (Lei Jing) is a classic medical work by Zhang Jiabin, a great medical scholar of the late Ming Dynasty, who categorized and annotated the entire Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon (Huangdi Neijing). It includes: Lei Jing, Illustrated Compendium of the Treatise on the Categories, and Supplementary Compendium of the Treatise on the Categories. Due to its profound medical theory and extremely high academic research value, it has been highly regarded by later scholars and has become a guide and essential reading for those entering the field of medicine. The collation and editing of The Treatise on the Categories presented here uses the Ming Dynasty Tianqi 4th-year (1624) woodblock edition of Jin Chang Tong Yongquan as the base text, with the Hongdaotang woodblock edition of the 20th year of the Daoguang reign (1840) as the collation reference. The collation and editing work lasted one year, with the entire content being complete and meticulously annotated. Detailed adjustments and corrections were made to the original text's omissions, errors, and inaccuracies. It is currently the most complete annotated edition in China. It holds a leading position domestically and can be regarded as a classic guide for modern readers to easily understand, read, and learn from in the field of medicine.
