According to the Third National Dietary and Nutrition Survey:
· Approximately 2 million people die from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in China each year, ranking as the leading cause of death among residents.
· By the 21st century, over 100 million people in China had hypertension, affecting tens of millions of families.
· The number of overweight and obese individuals in China had reached 70 million.
· There were over 96 million people with high blood lipids.
· Beijing had 2 million hypertensive patients, with 30,000 closely related to hypertension-related stroke patients.
According to the World Health Organization's prediction, by 2020, chronic diseases will account for 79% of total deaths in China, with cardiovascular diseases ranking as the leading cause, becoming the leading killer of humanity!
