Features: Developing county-level economy is a highly exploratory and creative task with no ready-made models or shortcuts. The book is rich in content, clear in perspective, and well-supported by data—representing a research outcome with theoretical and methodological innovations that directly contributes to advancing the development of county-level economy in Yunnan. From its theoretical foundation and methodological innovations, as well as the depth of its research analysis and the targeted and actionable policy recommendations, this work ranks among the top domestic studies of its kind that I have encountered.
