On one hand, the book provides a theoretical and comprehensive interpretation of the urbanization process in ethnic areas and the resulting social and cultural changes at a macro level. On the other hand, it conducts an in-depth case analysis of an urban area in the Tibetan areas of Sichuan at a micro level. These two aspects complement and reinforce each other, forming a three-dimensional research framework that expands the breadth and depth of the research questions.
