Features: Founded in 1928, Jiangsu Qidong High School is one of the first national model high schools and the first batch of four-star schools in Jiangsu Province. Through years of educational practice, Qidong High School has gradually formed its distinctive educational philosophy: "People-oriented, moral education first, solidifying foundations, and fostering individuality." The school adheres to the principle of "Everything for the students, for all students, and for the sake of all students." It employs scientific management and research-driven strategies to enhance its educational quality. Guided by the philosophy of "Developing individual talents, promoting comprehensive development, and laying a foundation for lifelong learning," the school has achieved remarkable progress, establishing itself as a first-class modern educational institution with both domestic and international influence.
The new round of reforms in teaching, curriculum, and examinations has significantly transformed China's college admission system, particularly in the reform of examination content, which has placed greater emphasis on students' innovative abilities, practical skills, and comprehensive competencies. How to scientifically and effectively explore the new college entrance examination (Gaokao) patterns, achieving outstanding results with minimal input to gain maximum educational output, and thereby entering top-tier universities, is not only the dream of countless students but also the relentless pursuit of educators nationwide.
To address this, our school has once again collaborated with Longmen Publishing House to scientifically plan and publish this comprehensive review series, "Qidong High School Middle School Entrance Examination Full-Scale Practice" and "Qidong High School Gaokao Full-Scale Practice." This series is the first time our school has partnered with Longmen Publishing House, a national-level publishing house, to produce a middle and high school review series. We have granted exclusive authorization to Longmen Publishing House to use our registered "Qidong High School" trademark for the publication of this series. This series is the result of the collective effort of all junior and senior high school teachers at Qidong High School, who have meticulously crafted it to systematically summarize the intellectual achievements of our teachers in teaching and review guidance over the years, especially since the "3+X" Gaokao reform and the new curriculum reform. It effectively addresses how to scientifically and effectively improve students' knowledge levels and learning abilities under the new curriculum and Gaokao frameworks. This series aims to promote the broader dissemination and utilization of our school's high-quality educational resources, allowing teachers and students from other schools nationwide to benefit from Qidong High School's "Full-Scale Practice." At the same time, we strive to accumulate practical experience for China's basic education and the new curriculum and examination reforms.
During the actual writing process, the series follows the teaching and review progress of junior and senior high schools, dividing the middle school entrance examination into two rounds and the Gaokao into three rounds.
The Middle School Entrance Examination Full-Scale Practice includes six subjects in each round: Chinese, Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, and Politics.
The Gaokao Full-Scale Practice includes nine subjects in each round: Chinese, Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Politics, History, and Geography. The third round also includes two comprehensive books: "Arts Comprehensive" and "Sciences Comprehensive."
In the first round, each subject book is divided into two parts: A and B.
- Part A serves as a comprehensive guide for teachers and students, featuring main sections such as "Exam Outline Navigation," "Key Point Analysis," "Exam Question Analysis," "Common Mistakes," and "Gaokao Forecast."
- Part B is a supplementary "Synchronous Enhancement Training" to accompany Part A.
This series can be considered an invaluable practical guide for middle and high school entrance examinations. We have carefully revised this series for its second edition, incorporating the outstanding achievements of teaching, curriculum, and examination reforms from across the country over the past year. The revised second edition reflects the collective wisdom of dozens of experienced junior and senior high school teachers at our school. With a focus on cultivating students' innovative and practical abilities, the series features meticulously selected and analyzed questions, refined through collective lesson planning, continuous refinement, and thorough integration. It combines originality with classic content, ensuring that each volume fully meets the requirements of the new middle and high school entrance examinations. We hope that "Qidong High School Middle School Entrance Examination Full-Scale Practice" and "Qidong High School Gaokao Full-Scale Practice" will truly serve as a green passageway for students to successfully enter universities.
Specifically:
- The first round is the Foundation Volume, organized by chapters or units, with a focus on interpreting key points from the new "Exam Outline" for the middle school entrance examination, supplemented by extensive exam question analysis.
- The second round is the Ability Volume, featuring thematic lectures and reinforcement training, primarily aimed at cultivating and improving students' comprehensive and applied abilities within subjects, as well as interdisciplinary integration.
- The third round is the Final Sprint Volume, designed for students preparing for mock exams in April and May, simulating the Gaokao environment. Each volume includes 15 carefully crafted full-scale practice tests, scientifically constructed to align with the new goals of the middle and high school entrance examinations ("Exam Outline, Key Points, Exam Questions"), achieving a zero-distance simulation effect for the 2006 Gaokao.
"Through countless efforts, though arduous, the relentless pursuit finally leads to the golden sands of success." The middle and high school entrance examination questions and predictions selected in this series are scientifically and rigorously extracted from a vast pool of problems, supplemented by our school's latest original questions. They possess high academic value, authority, guidance, and relevance. Their purpose is to help students accurately grasp problem-solving patterns, improve their review efficiency, and enhance their exam-taking skills. This is also the aspiration of all the editorial committee members of "Qidong High School Middle School Entrance Examination Full-Scale Practice" and "Qidong High School Gaokao Full-Scale Practice."
