Features: This is the first teacher exhibition since the establishment of the Basic Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts for four years. The name "Colleagues and Comrades" was proposed by our young teacher Yang Cheng and was unanimously approved by everyone. The artistic level of the teachers, including their understanding of the basics and their creative development, is crucial for effectively completing the basic teaching. Art education is not only about correcting problems that arise in the classroom but also about the constant influence of the teacher's artistic quality and judgment on the students. From the understanding and handling of form, the perception and control of color, to the exploration of the possibilities of picture composition in assignments, and the further development of the subtle creative intentions, as well as the guidance teachers can provide in the formation and development of students' temperament and aesthetics—distinguishing, affirming, and encouraging them is extremely beneficial. At the same time, as a trinity of teaching, research, and creation, the Academy of Fine Arts also carries the responsibility of continuously providing high-quality artistic works for society and the nation. As a group of teachers, they complement each other in teaching, combine into a cohesive force, and motivate, communicate closely, and influence each other in artistic creation. They continuously explore the inheritance of artistic traditions, the understanding and expression of the inner spiritual world, and the observation of the real world. This is a group advantage in art education and artistic creation. The basics are not isolated; they are related to future artistic expression. It requires constantly looking back at the end of the cultivation process and teachers using their own creative experience to make timely judgments. This is also another meaning of teacher creativity.
