Features: The Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon is the earliest medical classic extant in China, reflecting the medical achievements of ancient China. It established the theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and laid the foundation for its development. It has consistently guided the progress of TCM and remains highly valuable for research even today. It consists of Suwen and Lingshu. Suwen discusses topics such as Yin-Yang and the Five Elements, Zang-Xiang (organs and meridians), Qi and Blood, acupoints and acupuncture, etiology and pathogenesis, diagnostic methods and disease patterns, treatment principles and methods, medical ethics and health preservation, as well as the theory of Qi and the Five Elements. It provides a detailed explanation of human physiology, pathology, diagnosis, and treatment, emphasizing ancient philosophical thought and the holistic concept of the unity of the internal and external body. Thus, it has become the source of fundamental theories in TCM. This book is compact and convenient for readers to carry around. Humans are born from the Qi of heaven and earth, pure and complete, and naturally balanced. However, the ability to maintain this balance depends on the individual's efforts. Moreover, infants are at the beginning of life, their Qi is still unstable, and they are more susceptible to diseases. Those who care for and raise them must be cautious. If they neglect this, it is like building a dam and then anticipating its collapse in advance. Then, it will be difficult to restore balance to their Qi. One day, I came across a book called One Hundred Questions About Infant Health and read it with great delight, exclaiming: Is this the complete guide to infant care? The ancients were wise and insightful, thoroughly understanding the illnesses of ordinary people and intuitively grasping their causes. Therefore, their writings are meticulous in argumentation and precise in formulation. The title One Hundred Questions suggests a daily count, and beneath each question, the sources are explored, symptoms are presented, and treatments are proposed. It is as if the author anticipated the questions and provided answers in advance. By synthesizing various opinions, it forms a unique perspective, leaving no disease unaddressed and offering more than enough remedies. The book is clear at first glance, enlightening the reader. The art of benevolence is not merely about proven cases. Some say it originated from the compilation by Lu Bosi, but this is now uncertain. However, few have seen it, so I ordered it to be reprinted to spread its teachings. For all diseases, the key is to regulate the fundamental Qi. The efforts of humans to maintain balance are indeed essential, and what they inherit from heaven will inevitably return to balance. How can this be considered useless talk? The scholars of old said: Those who care for their parents must know medicine. I would add: Those who love their children cannot be without this book. Therefore, I wrote this preface.
