Author: Tang Rongchuan (Qing Dynasty), edited by Sun Yixin, annotated by Zhu Pingsheng
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2005-06-01
Features: To promote the traditional Chinese medicine of our country and meet the needs of a large number of TCM practitioners and enthusiasts, a group of TCM experts were organized to strictly select and comprehensively compile multiple versions, annotating and publishing the "Series of Classical Medical Masterpieces." The annotation principles are as follows:
1. Modern punctuation methods are adopted to re-segment the original text.
2. Obvious typographical errors in the original text are corrected. Variant characters, archaic characters, homophonic characters, and colloquial characters are simplified while preserving the original book's integrity.
3. The prescriptions in the original text are re-formatted according to modern conventions: [Indications], [Formula], [Usage], [Explanation]. The directional terms "left, right" in the original text are uniformly changed to "upper, lower."
4. To maintain the original appearance of the manuscript, no changes are made to the dosage of medicinal herbs in the annotation. For herbs with heavy toxic dosages, please refer to modern dosages. Certain banned animal-derived drugs such as rhino horn, tiger bone, and musk should be replaced with modern alternatives.
5. Where discrepancies exist between various manuscripts and annotations, as multiple reference manuscripts are used, the annotations do not provide explanations.
