Features: The "Luo You Kou Yi" was composed by Yan Shan Weng. Moreover, the art of medicine has long been difficult to articulate in the world, and the specialty of pediatric medicine, anciently called "silent syndromes," is even more challenging for physicians to describe. However, there are essential principles—understanding and adapting depends on the individual. Without a profound grasp of the principles, it is not easy to explain. Thus, one must observe the patient's appearance to assess their deficiency or excess, examine their sighs to understand their pulse and qi, and prescribe medications based on their constitutional strength or weakness. In cases of sneezing or nasal congestion, there may be variations of wind or heat transformation; when night crying and fever occur, there may be unique conditions such as umbilical sores. Treatment follows clear guidelines, and there is no room for debate. Additionally, when adverse conditions turn favorable, or when yin syndromes mimic yang, even conditions like convulsions or epilepsy, among countless others, cannot be enumerated. Therefore, those who are rigid do not change, those who are obstructed do not open, those who delay do not act decisively, and those who deviate do not proceed thoroughly. Thus, to cultivate aspirations and delve into the profound is called "depth," to act skillfully and strike the mark is called "sharpness," to perceive subtle signs and understand mechanisms early is called "intelligence," and to seize opportunities and adapt is called "perception." These four qualities are the essence of medicine, the core of technique, and the track of the path. To operate the core and hold the track to achieve the goal is where there is no need for debate. When debate is understood, it permeates the principles; when principles are permeated, one approaches the divine. In this way, the art of medicine is without shame, and the treatment of pediatric diseases cannot be without debate. Beyond this, what else is there? After the preface, it is further included to broaden its dissemination.
