Medical Records of Differentiation

Features: To promote the traditional Chinese medicine of our country and meet the needs of a broad range of TCM practitioners and enthusiasts, a group of TCM experts was organized to rigorously select and compile multiple versions (including rare and unique editions) of the Classical Medical Masterpieces Series for publication. The principles for editing are as follows:
1. Modern punctuation methods are adopted to restructure the original text into paragraphs.
2. Obvious typographical errors in the base text are corrected. Variant characters, archaic characters, homophones, and colloquial variants are simplified while preserving the original book's integrity.
3. Prescriptions in the original text are reorganized in the modern format: [Indications], [Formula], [Usage], [Explanation]. The directional terms "left, right" in the original text are uniformly replaced with "upper, lower."
4. To maintain the original appearance of the base text, no changes are made to the dosage of medicinal ingredients. For heavily used toxic drugs, refer to modern dosages. Certain banned animal-derived ingredients such as rhino horn, tiger bone, and musk are replaced with modern alternatives.
5. Where discrepancies exist between various base and collated editions, as multiple base texts were referenced, the collated versions do not provide detailed explanations.
