Features: This is one of the classic medical works in ancient China. It mainly compiles the meridian diagnostic methods created by medical predecessors before the Qing Dynasty. The entire book is presented in classical Chinese, which may be somewhat obscure to read but is the essence of meridian medicine. The book is compact in size, making it convenient for readers to carry around. To promote the medical heritage of our country and meet the needs of, a group of selected traditional Chinese medicine experts has been organized to comprehensively revise and publish the "Series of Classic Medical Works." The principles of revision are as follows:
1. Modern punctuation is adopted to restructure the original text into paragraphs.
2. Obvious typographical errors in the original text are corrected. Variant characters, archaic characters, homophonic characters, and colloquial characters are simplified while preserving the original book's integrity.
3. Prescriptions in the original text are reorganized in modern format: [Indications], [Formula], [Usage], [Explanation]. The directional terms "left, right" in the original text are uniformly changed to "upper, lower."
4. To maintain the original text's authenticity, no changes are made to the dosage of medicinal ingredients. For herbs with heavy toxic dosages, refer to modern dosages. For banned animal-derived ingredients such as rhino horn, tiger bone, and musk, modern substitutes should be used.
5. Where discrepancies exist between various base texts and collated versions, as many reference texts are used, the collated versions do not provide explanations.
