1. Although this book aims to introduce the radicals of cursive script, it selects cursive characters from famous calligraphers throughout history to allow readers to appreciate the artistic beauty of cursive script.
2. The sequence of radicals in this book is based on the "Radical Catalog" in the Commercial Press《Xinhua Dictionary》.
3. Each radical in this book consists of two parts.
4. All radicals are filled with ink to highlight them.
5. In cursive script, the tail stroke of one character is often closely connected to the head stroke of the next, making it difficult to distinguish each stroke clearly.
6. For the same radical, there are several different cursive styles. The numbers ①②③ next to the left vertical line in the grid indicate the specific style number of the radical.
7. For each different style of the same radical, three different characters written by different people are included, with the radical style remaining essentially the same to demonstrate the validity of the style. More than three examples further confirm the widespread acceptance of the style. Less than three examples are included because suitable characters were not selected.
8. The small character in the upper-left corner of each grid is the explanatory character for the cursive script in that grid, while the name in the lower-right corner is the name of the calligrapher who wrote the cursive script.
9. Works such as 《》 and 《》 that are enclosed in book titles are abbreviations of the names of certain cursive script books, such as 《》 being abbreviated as 《》, and so on.
